A Travellerspoint blog

13th-15th September 2013

sunny 34 °C

Today we where supposed to be back at home but since the car broke down we wont get home to the 28th of September.
When we got to Broome we went for a drive and did a little bit of shopping for food and a couple of other stuff. We went to the Shinju Matsuri Festival. There was a Chinese dragon but they kept on talking and we didn't see it because we went back to the caravan park.

This morning we went for a look at the pearl shops in Broome and I got to hold a big pearl worth $20 000. We went to the pearl luggers museum. We learnt how they used to dive for pearls and we got to taste a bit of pearl meat. It tasted a bit funny. We got to hold another pearl only it was a little bit smaller than the other one and had a better lustre. it was worth $100 000. We went shopping again and while we where waiting in the car for dad Leith through Ashdons shirt out of the car and Ashdon had to get it and we locked him out of the car and he got really angry but it was funny. We went back to the caravan park and had dinner.

This afternoon we went to Cable beach and went swimming. We tried to make a really big hole with islands in it but we had to go. We went to a light house and we saw the casts of the dinosaur footprints which you can see when the tide is low. We went back to the caravan and watched a movie.
