On , Thursday the 16th May we left Apollo Bay. We drove on the Great Ocean Road to get to Dandenong. On the way we went past Geelong and went past saw the place where Geelong cats play football. When we arrived at Dandenong we had lunch. Later we went shopping.

The next day it was my birthday. We went to Portsea and had lunch. Afterwards we went to a lookout on the Mornington Peninsula. Then we went to a chocolate factory. Then we went to Phillip Island to see the little penguins. They where coming up from the water to go back to there little homes. We went back onto the mainland and got McDonalds for dinner but I wanted fried rice. When we got to Dandenong I had my cake.
I thought my birthday was boring.

The next day we went on the puffing billy. We went to a café and got back on the puffing billy. When we got back to the car we went for a drive to the William Rickett Sanctury to go for a walk. We went and took pictures of the sculptures he made. Then we went back to the caravan.

We went Melbourne. We got there on the train. We went for a walk when we got there. Then we went on a tram. We went to the Queen Victory Markets and had lunch. Then we went to the Eureka sky deck. It has 88floors and that was the floor we went on. The elevator went 9 metres per second. When we got to the top we could see all of Melbourne. We also saw Melbourne and Richmond playing at the MCG. We could only see the screen though. Then we went back to the train and went back to Dandenong.

It was my little brothers birthday today and he got Lego. That is why we didn't do much. We went to hungry jacks for dinner. When we got back we had his cake.

Today we went to Mt Baw Baw to go to the snow. When we got there we went for a walk to find some snow. There was only a little bit and I tried to make a mini snowman but it was a complete failure though. We had lunch and went back to Dandenong.

Mount Gambier

By Jolie Wood

Today we left Kingston and drove to Mount Gambier. We got the caravan park and didn't do much. We went and saw the blue lake. It is a crater left by a volcano erupting thousands of years ago. We went shopping and went back to the caravan park.

Today we went to a sink hole. It was full of flowers. We went down the stairs to the bottom of the sinkhole. We saw a bee hive with lots of bees. On our way up the stairs we found a possum. I took a pictures of it and I got to pat it even though it was wild. My little brother wasn't as lucky though because the possum bit his finger. Then we went to another sinkhole. Then we went back to the caravan park and had lunch. Then we went to Port McDonnell. We saw the foundations of the first lighthouse built in South Australia. Then we went to Hell Hole (a sinkhole). It was very big and very deep and it was full of water. Then we went back to the caravan park and did a puzzle.

Today, the 7th May 2013 we woke up early and got in the car to go to Kangaroo Island. We drove for about one hour until we made it to Cape Jervis. We got on the ferry. We waited for the cars to get on the ferry. When they where all on the ferry the ferry started moving. It took 45 minutes to get to Kangaroo Island. When we got there we went to Kingscote to have morning tea. After morning tea we went to a place that makes honey. We tasted all the honey and we got a small jar of honey each. Then we went to Seal Bay. We saw a lot of sea-lions. one of the sea-lions was jumping out of the water then he started rolling on the shallow part of the water. He was really funny to watch. Then we left. We went for another drive to the koala walk. We saw 9 koalas, wallabies and kangaroos (the kangaroos on Kangaroo Island are darker than the kangaroos on the mainland). Then we had an ice-cream and left. We drove back to Penneshaw (the place where the ferry is). We had some pizza for dinner then we went looking for some penguins but we couldn't see any but we could hear them. Then we got back on the ferry and went back to McLaren Vale.
